Abstract :
|
Software reliability is that branch of software engineering that focuses on the techniques of developing and maintaining software systems whose reliability can be quantitatively evaluated. For evaluating the reliability of software several software reliability growth models (SRGM) have been proposed, however none of them has proven to perform well considering different project characteristics. Gene expression programming is a genotype/phenotype system that evolves computer programs encoded in linear chromosomes of fixed length. The interplay between genotype (chromosomes) and phenotype (expression trees) is made possible by the structural and functional organization of the linear chromosomes. This paper reviews on various approaches that are used in software reliability measurement. This paper also explores Gene Expression Algorithm (GEP) approach to measure the software reliability.
