Data mining in agriculture has emerged as one of the young research field to extract the valueable knowledge form large dataset. An intimate knowledge of the soil is pre-requiste for agriculture planning and development. In Data mining classification is a technique which is used to classify the soil into different fertility classes. The classification technique makes the use of many classifiers such as Naïve Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbor, C4.5, RndTree.
In this paper, the overall aim is to analysis the soil data set and classify the soil into different fertility levels using data mining techniques. After that on the basis of fertility level we recommend the appropriate fertilizer for the given soil sample and cropping pattern.
