Abstract :

Copying code fragment and then reuse by pasting with or without minor modification are common activities in software development. This type of reuse approach of existing code is called code cloning and pasted code fragment without is called a clone of the original. In this paper we have pointed out the automated test sequence generation in SDLC and we also presented a classification of clones. This paper introduces CMCD; a count metrics based technique to detect clones in program code. The key concept behind CMCD is count metrics, which is created while counting the occurrence frequency of every variable in situation specified by predetermined counting condition.
