Cloud computing is a paradigm in which computing is done by using computational resources on demand via a network. Cloud Computing meets the twenty first century computing requirements as it provides a framework for delivering scalable IT resources over the Internet making resource sharing easier and cheaper. Cloud computing aims at reducing costs by bringing down the hardware requirements and it gives a platform such that all the capital expenditure is borne by the cloud provider. The customer only needs to pay for the services he is using, much like the traditional utility services (like electricity). This pay-as-you-use approach makes it a very viable, dependable, economic and flexible form of computing for the future. Cloud computing helps enterprises transform business and technology. Workload shifting is basis for cloud computing system. No need to do all the heavy lifting when it comes to running a big application by a local system. The cloud handles them instead. The only thing that is needed by a local system is a web browser an internet connection. The rest thing will be taken care by the cloud networks.
